From R & D through technology transfer, HEF’s engineering capabilities are driven by customer need resulting in solutions that are specific, yet, flexible to meet the ever changing business environment. Globally HEF has 4 research centers (France, Germany, India and Canada). HEF’s Headquarters is in France where in 60 researchers are working. HEF holds ~80 International Patents.

HEF has forged its technical experience and expertise in four areas:

• Tribology: The HEF Group is expert in the study of Tribology – The science and technology of  improving the performance of interacting surfaces in relative motion
  
• CLIN (Controlled Liquid Ionic Nitriding): HEF has patented processes like SURSULF®, ARCOR®, MELONITE®, TUFFTRIDE®, TENIFER®, QPQ®, OPO® & Dry Film Lubricant coating etc.
  
• PVD/PACVD/DLC: HEF’s Patented processes are CERTESS® X, CERTESS® N, CERTESS® SD, CERTESS® DCX, CERTESS® DCY, CERTESS® DDT etc. , 
  
• Bushings & Joints: Range of custom-engineered bushings, rings & joints for Heavy equipment, Construction and Other Industries as well.
  

HEF’s Manufacturing Entities are: Chemicals, Bushings/Joints, PVD/PACVD Equipments, Furnaces etc., DURFERRIT is Chemical manufacturing arm of HEF Group, providing more than 450 quality products for all HEF Thermochemical Processes and other conventional heat treatment processes. In India we import chemicals from DURFERRIT and supply as well.
